C USTOMER S OFTWARE R ELEASE DOCUMENT N EW FEATURESXEROX F REEF LOW ® M AKEREADY 2-11HardwarePlatform IndependenceFreeFlow 6.0 supports FreeFlow application software on acustomer-supplied platform (hardware and operating system)meeting Xerox specifications for FreeFlow Process Manager andFreeFlow Web Services server platforms.Hardware not supported in FreeFlow 6.0The following hardware has gone end of life and is not supportedin FreeFlow 6.0:• DocuImage 620S Scanner• Compaq W8000 1.7/2.2 GHz PC PlatformNOTE: Contact your Xerox Representative for moreinformation on the supported FreeFlow 6.0 platforms.• TR5 Internal Tape Drive• 8 mm Tape Drive — The ExaByte 8505 and ExaByte Elianttape drives are no longer supported. Therefore, customerscurrently using these tape drives will need to move theirDocuTech objects to a supported peripheral device, such asa Sony AIT tape device.If using an ExaByte tape drive, perform one of the followingprior to upgrading to FreeFlow 6.0:NOTE: Contact your Xerox Representative for moreinformation on the supported Sony AIT tape device.– If using an ExaByte tape drive to read DJO objects at theDocuTech and do not use a FreeFlow product to managethe DJO objects will still have the functionality, providingDocuTech continues to support it. |
