Controlling Access to Tools and FeaturesControlling Access for All Users• To lock or unlock tools and features for all users:a) In CentreWare Internet Services, click Properties > Security > AuthenticationConfiguration.b) Click Next.c) Under Access Control, next to Device Access, click Configure.d) Select Locked to require authentication for local press Control Panel tools andCentreWare Internet Services Properties tab.e) Click Apply to accept the changes or Undo to retain the previous settings.• To lock, unlock or hide individual services for all users:a) In CentreWare Internet Services, click Properties > Security > AuthenticationConfiguration.b) Click Next.c) Under Access Control, next to Service Access, click Configure.d) Select Locked to require authentication for individual services at the press ControlPanel, or select Locked (Hide Icon) to hide the service.e) Click Apply to accept the changes or Undo to retain the previous settings.Digital CertificatesA digital certificate must be installed on the press before you can enable secure HTTP(SSL). A digital certificate is a set of data used to verify the identity of the holder orsender of the certificate. A certificate includes the following data:• Information about the person, organization, or computer that the certificate is issuedto, including the name, location, email address and other contact information.• Serial number of the certificate• Expiration date of the certificate• Name of the certificate authority (CA) that issued the certificate• A public key• A certificate authority's digital signatureInstalling a Digital CertificateThere are three ways to install a certificate on the press:• Create a Self-Signed Certificate. The press creates its own certificate, signs it, andcreates a public key to be used for encryption.• Create a request to have a certificate authority, or a server functioning as a certificateauthority sign a certificate and then upload the certificate to the press.
