Further details on various faultscan be found in the drive Technical Manual.■ FaultsBoth bUS (Option Communication Error) and EF0 (External Fault Input from the option)can appear as either an alarm or as a fault. When a fault occurs, the digital operator ALMLED remains lit. When an alarm occurs, the digital operator ALM LED flashes.Check the following items first when an error code occurs on the drive:• Communication cable connections• Make sure the option is properly installed to the drive• Operation status of the controller program and controller CPU• Did a momentary power loss interrupt communications?Table 13 Fault Displays, Causes, and Possible SolutionsDigital Operator Display Fault NamebUSOption Communication ErrorThe connection was lost after establishing initial communication.Only detected when the run command frequency reference is assigned to the option(bl-01 = 3 or bl-02 = 3).Cause Possible SolutionMaster controller (PLC) hasstopped communicating. Groundthe shield on the controller side and on the option side.Option is damaged.
