VX-6R OPERATING MANUAL40MEMORY MODE (REGULAR MEMORY CHANNEL)MEMORY BANK OPERATIONThe large number of memories available in the VX-6R could be difficult to utilize withoutsome means of organizing them. Fortunately, the VX-6R includes provision for dividingthe memories into as many as 24 Memory Banks, so you can categorize the memories in amanner convenient to you. You may enter and exit the “Memory Bank” mode by a singlepress of the [BAND(SCN)BND DN] key, as we shall see below.Assigning Memories to a Memory Bank1. Recall the memory channel to be assigned to a Memory Bank.2. Press and hold in the [F/W] key for one second, then rotate theDIAL knob to select the Memory Bank number (“b 1” ~ “b24”)you want as the Memory Bank for this channel.3. Here’s a short cut for choosing the desired Memory Bank: pressand hold in the [F/W] key for one second, then enter the follow-ing numbers: 1101 (for Memory Bank“b1”) through 1124 (for MemoryBank “b24”).4. Press the [F/W] key to copy thememory channel data into the MemoryBank.1) You may assign onememory channel into several Memory Banks.2) The PMS memory channels (L1/U1 through L50/U50) may not be as-signed to a Memory Bank.Memory Bank Recall1. Press the [V/M(DW)MT] key, if needed, to enter the Memory mode.2. Press the [BAND(SCN)BND DN] key to activate the “MemoryBank” mode. The Memory Bank number will appear on the dis-play.3. Press the [F/W] key, followed by the [BAND(SCN)BND DN]key, then rotate the DIAL knob to select the desired MemoryBank (“BANK 1” through “BANK24”).4. Press the [BAND(SCN)BND DN] key momentarily once more;now, as you rotate the DIAL knob to select memories, you willobserve that you can only select memory channels in the currentmemory bank. The small memory bank number will appear at the above of the fre-quency display while operating within a Memory Bank.5.
