To obtain a precise ad-justment, it would be advisable tocheck the number of clicks of eachdamping force adjusting mechanismand to modify the specifications asnecessary.EAU51651Front fork bleedingWARNINGEWA10201Always bleed both fork legs, other-wise poor handling and loss of sta-bility may result.When riding in extremely rough condi-tions, the air temperature and pressurein the front fork will rise. This will in-crease the spring preload and hardenthe front suspension. If this occurs,bleed the front fork as follows.1. Lift the front wheel off the groundaccording to the procedure onpage 7-28.TIPWhen bleeding the front fork, thereshould be no weight on the front end ofthe vehicle.2. Remove the bleed screws and al-low all of the air to escape fromeach fork leg.3. Install the bleed screws.4. Lower the front wheel so that it ison the ground, install the remov-able sidestand, and then rest themotorcycle on it.1. Bleed screw
