Basic components16EMU26090Main switchThe main switch controls the ignition system;its operation is described below. “ ” (off)With the main switch in the “ ” (off) posi-tion, the electrical circuits are off, and the keycan be removed. “ ” (on)With the main switch in the “ ” (on) position,the electrical circuits are on, and the key can-not be removed. “ ” (start)With the main switch in the “ ” (start) po-sition, the starter motor turns to start the en-gine. When the key is released, it returnsautomatically to the “ ” (on) position.EMU26141Power trim and tilt switch on remotecontrol or tiller handleThe power trim and tilt system adjusts the out-board motor angle in relation to the transom.Pressing the switch “ ” (up) trims the out-board motor up, then tilts it up. Pressing theswitch “ ” (down) tilts the outboard motordown and trims it down.
