The warning light should comeon for a few seconds, and then go off.If the warning light does not come oninitially when the key is turned to “ON”,or if the warning light remains on, havea Yamaha dealer check the electricalcircuit.TIP Even if the oil level is sufficient, thewarning light may flicker whenriding on a slope or during suddenacceleration or deceleration, butthis is not a malfunction. This model is also equipped with aself-diagnosis device for the oillevel detection circuit. If a problemis detected in the oil level detectioncircuit, the following cycle will berepeated until the malfunction iscorrected: The oil level warninglight will flash ten times, then go offfor 2.5 seconds. If this occurs,have a Yamaha dealer check thevehicle.EAU11427Coolant temperature warninglight “ ”This warning light comes on if the en-gine overheats.
