33 EnLISTENING TO SIRIUS Satellite Radio™BASICOPERATION3 Use D / E (to select a digit to edit) and B / C(to select a number) on the remote control toenter the 4-digit code number.• If you are entering a code number for the first time,enter the desired code number.• If you have entered a code number before, enter thesame code number.yYou can also enter the code number using the numeric buttons onthe remote control.4 Press ENTER on the remote control.yIf the code number was entered for the first time, a confirmationmessage is displayed. Press ENTER again to confirm the codenumber.The SIRIUS channel number and channel name aredisplayed on the front panel display.• If a code number is already registered and you enter a differentnumber, “WRONG” is displayed and the display returns to step3. Enter the correct code number.• If you forget the Parental lock code or want to change it, reset itusing “SR PIN” (see page 43).5 Search for a channel to be locked orunlocked.For details on searching channels, refer to thefollowing pages.• All channel search mode (see page 29)• Category search mode (see page 29)When searching for a channel, the sound of the selected channelcan be heard even if the channel is locked.6 Press ENTER on the remote control to lockor unlock the selected channel.• If the selected channel is locked, the channelnumber and “LOCKED” are displayed on the frontpanel display.• If the selected channel is unlocked, the front paneldisplay changes from “LOCKED” to the channelname.7 Repeat steps 5 and 6 to lock or unlock otherchannels as desired.8 Press OPTION once or press RETURNrepeatedly on the remote control to exit the“Parental Lock”.• If the last channel you selected was locked, the unittunes in to “184 Weather/Emergency” or “000SIRIUS ID”.• If the last channel you selected was unlocked, theunit tunes in to that channel.■ Tuning in to the locked channelsTune in to the channel using direct number access mode(see page 30) or preset search mode (see page 31). Whenyou tune in to a locked channel “LOCKED” is displayedon the front panel display, followed by the followingmessage. Enter the Parental lock code set previously byusing the numeric buttons on the remote control. To cancelthis operation, press ENTER on the remote control.If the number you entered does not match the code number,“WRONG” is displayed on the front panel display and this unittunes in to the previously selected channel.The entered code number is needed for tuning in thechannel or unlocking the channel.
