The tone is produced for 2.5seconds each time. Tap @ to hear the test tone from the fronteffect L speaker (FRONT L), and _ to hear the test tonefrom the front effect R speaker (FRONT R).Tap to close the TEST DSP mode.The test tone stops and the DSP program name appears on thefront panel display and the video monitor.The tonal quality of the speakers can be adjusted using the "6CINEMA EQ" item in the SET MENU (see pages __ and __).If the sound volume of the front effect speakers is lower thanthat of the main speakers, even after you have increased theoutput level up to +10 dB, set the "IG MAIN LEVEL" itemin the SET MENU to "-10dB". Setting the "IG MAINLEVEL" item to "-10dB" decreases the main speaker outputlevel to about one-third of the normal level. After you set the"IG MAIN LEVEL" item in the SET MENU to "-10dB",repeat the "TEST DOLBY SUR." procedure on the previouspage.• You can also enter the TEST DSP mode by tappingrepeatedly on the SET MENU control panel. However, theadjustment cannot be made by tapping @, _, _ andon the SET MENU control panel._ Adjust VOL +/- so can hear the test tone.you• If the test tone cannot be heard, turn down the volume, setthis unit in the standby mode and check the speaker connec-tions.Tap _ or _ repeatedly to adjust the output level ofthe front effect speakers so that the output levelcoming from each speaker is the same.The front effect speaker level can be adjusted in the range of-10 to +10 dB. Test tone is output only from the front effectspeakers.• Main L_ speaker level cannot be adjusted.E-40
