5-2ESU00361Engine overheating prevention systemThis model is equipped with an engine overheating pre-vention system to prevent overheating when the engineis idling.When the engine has been idling for at least 3 minutesand the coolant temperature has risen above 100 °C(212 °F), the engine automatically shuts off to preventoverheating.NOTE:The engine can be started after it shuts off.ESU04701Throttle override system (T.O.R.S.)If the throttle bodies or throttle cable malfunctions duringoperation, the T.O.R.S. will operate when the throttlelever is released.The T.O.R.S. is designed to interrupt the fuel injectionand keep the engine speed between 2,800 and3,000 r/min if the throttle valves fail to return to the idleposition when the throttle lever is released.WARNING@ If the T.O.R.S. is activated, make sure that thecause of the malfunction has been corrected andthat the engine can be operated without a prob-lem before restarting the engine. Be sure to use the specified spark plug and sparkplug cap. Otherwise, the T.O.R.S. will not workproperly.@
