18 EnTroubleshootingRefer to the table below when the unit does not function properly. If the problem you areexperiencing is not listed below or if the instructions below do not help, turn off the unit,disconnect the power cable, and contact the nearest authorized Yamaha dealer orservice center.First, check the following:A The power cables of the unit, TV and playback devices (such as BD players)are connected to AC wall outlets securely.B The unit, TV and playback devices (such as BD players) are turned on.C The connectors of each cable are securely inserted in to jacks on each device.Power and system AudioProblem Cause RemedyThe power turnsoff suddenly.The auto power standby functionworked.When the auto power standbyfunction is enabled and one of thefollowing conditions is met, theunit will automatically turn off.- No operation for 8 hours- No audio input and nooperations for 20 minutes whenBLUETOOTH is selected as theinput source.Turn on the unit again. To stop the unitfrom turning off automatically, disablethe auto power standby function(p.17).The internal microcomputer isfrozen, due to an external electricshock (such as lightning orexcessive static electricity) or to adrop in the power supply voltage.Hold down (power) on the frontpanel of the unit for more than 10seconds to reboot it. (If the problempersists, disconnect the power cablefrom the AC wall outlet and plug itagain.)The protection circuitry has beenactivated. (The STATUS indicatoron the front panel of the unitflashes.)After confirming that all connectionsare made properly, turn on the unitagain. If the power often suddenlyturns off, unplug the power cable fromthe AC wall outlet and contact thenearest authorized Yamaha dealer orservice center.Bluetooth connection isterminated on a Bluetooth devicewhen the Bluetooth standby modeis enabled.Disable the Bluetooth standby mode(p.13).The powercannot be turnedon.The protection circuitry has beenactivated three timesconsecutively. (If you try to turn onthe power in this condition, theSTATUS indicator flashes.)To protect the product, the powercannot be turned on. Unplug thepower cable from the AC wall outletand contact the nearest authorizedYamaha dealer or service center.The unit is notrespondingcorrectly.The internal microcomputer isfrozen, due to an external electricshock (such as lightning orexcessive static electricity) or to adrop in the power supply voltage.Hold down (power) on the frontpanel of the unit for more than 10seconds to reboot it. Turn up the volume (p.8).No sound iscoming from thesubwoofer.The volume of the subwoofer istoo low.Turn up the volume of the subwoofer(p.8).The playback source does notcontain low-frequency signals.--The volumedecreases whenthe unit is turnedon.The automatic volume adjustmentfunction worked. To preventexcessive loudness, the unitautomatically controls its volumewithin a certain level when the unitis turned on.If necessary, turn up the volume (p.8).
