NOTICE: Im-proper drive chain slack willoverload the engine as well asother vital parts of the motorcy-cle and can lead to chain slip-page or breakage. Loosen the axle nut.2. To tighten the drive chain, turn thedrive chain adjusting plate on eachside of the swingarm in direction(a). To loosen the drive chain, turnthe adjusting plate on each side ofthe swingarm in direction (b), andthen push the rear wheel forward.TIPMake sure that both adjusting platesare in the same position for properwheel alignment.3. Tighten the axle nut to the speci-fied torque.4. Make sure that the adjusting platesare in the same position, the drivechain slack is correct, and thedrive chain moves smoothly.1.
