En 51SETUPControlling other components with the remote controlRegistering remote control codesfor external component operationsThe following section describes how to register remotecontrol code using an example of the registration of theremote control codes of a Yamaha BD player connectedto HDMI2 jack.1 Use “Remote Control Code Search” in the CD-ROM to search the available remote controlcodes from the category or manufacturer ofexternal components.“2064” can be used for a Yamaha BD player.2 Press nCODE SET on the remote controlusing a pointed object such as the tip of aballpoint pen.3 Press dHDMI2 on the remote control toswitch the input source to HDMI2. J1Perform the following steps to register the selectedinput source here to the remote control code.4 Enter a remote control code “2064” usinglNumeric keys. To reset, repeatfrom step 2.• Remote control code of an external component cannotbe set from the name or model number of a unit. Use“Remote Control Code Search” in the CD-ROM tosearch the available remote control codes from thecategory or manufacturer of external components.• If multiple remote control codes exist, first set the firstcode in the list, if it does not work then try the othercodes.• If the registration fails, repeat the step 2.• In case of an external component with multiple remotecontrol codes, the other remote control codes may besupported.
