9Figure 4Figure 5Figure 6ATTACHING THE SEATThere are two different seat pivot brackets used onthis series of lawn tractor, a manual adjustment seator a quick adjustment seat. See Figure 4 and 5 toidentify which seat is on your unit. Follow theinstructions which apply to your lawn tractor.MANUAL ADJUSTMENT SEATRemove the four screws which secure the seat tothe seat pivot bracket. Turn the seat around andplace in position against the seat pivot bracket,lining up the slotted holes in the pivot bracket withthe holes in the seat. Select desired position for theseat, and secure with the four screws. See Figure 4.NOTE:Your seat may have been shipped in abox. Remove the four screws from the bottom ofseat and place seat in position against the seatpivot bracket. Follow the directions above to attachthe seat.QUICK ADJUSTMENT SEATPull out tab on seat stop and hold open while slidingseat out of seat pivot bracket. See Figure 5. Turnthe seat around and line up plastic seat spacerswith the slots in seat pivot bracket. Slide seat in untilfront seat spacer engages the seat stop. See Figure6. To adjust the seat refer to the adjustment sectionin this manual.NOTE:If your seat was shipped in a box, line upplastic seat spacers with the slots in seat pivotbracket and slide seat in until front seat spacerengages seat stop.WARNING: Before operating your unit,stand behind quick adjustment seat andpull back on seat, making sure seat isengaged in seat stop.ATTACHING THE CHUTE DEFLECTORThe chute deflector must be attached to the rightside of the deck so that it covers the chute opening.WARNING: Do not operate your unitunless the chute deflector has beenproperly installed.1.
