26CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIESEvery 100 hours of operation (more often underextremely dusty, dirty conditions), remove theblower housing and other cooling shrouds. Cleanthe cooling fins and external surfaces as neces-sary. Make sure the cooling shrouds are rein-stalled.NOTE: Operating the engine with a blockedgrass screen, dirty or plugged cooling fins, and/or cooling shrouds removed will cause enginedamage due to overheating.AIR FILTERYour engine will not run properly using a dirty airfilter. Service air cleaner more often under dustyconditions. See Engine Manual.ENGINE OIL FILTERReplace the engine oil filter every season orevery other oil change if the mower is used morethan 100 hours in one year.SPARK PLUGSReplace spark plugs at the beginning of eachmowing season or after every 100 hours ofoperation, whichever occurs first. For spark plugtype and gap setting refer to your ENGINEOWNER’S MANUAL.IN-LINE FUEL FILTER (See Figs. 11 and 12)The fuel filter should be replaced once eachseason.
