27SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTWARNINGBEFORE PERFORMING ANY SERVICEOR ADJUSTMENTS:• Set park brake to engaged position.• Place PTO switch in the disengagedposition (pressed down).• Turn ignition key "OFF" and removethe key.• Make sure the blades and all movingparts have completely stopped.• Disconnect spark plug wire fromspark plug and place the wire whereit cannot come in contact with theplug.MOWERTO LEVEL DECKAdjust the deck while the mower is on a levelsurface. Make sure the tires are inflated to thecorrect pressure (see “SPECIFICATIONS”section in this manual). If tires are under or overinflated, you can not properly adjust your deck.NOTE: It may be easier to adjust the front liftlinkages by removing the floor pan before anyadjustments are madeSIDE-TO-SIDE ADJUSTMENT (See Figs. 13and 14)• Raise the deck into the highest cuttingposition (4 1/2")• Measure height from the bottom edge ofthe deck to the ground at both frontcorners.
