The motion control levers can be movedforward or backward from a neutral position.Furthermore, there is a neutral position, which islocked if the motion control levers are movedoutward into the neutral slots. When both controls are in the neutral position (N),the machine stands still. The motion control levers on each side of themower control the direction of movement. The leftlever controls the flow of oil from the left hydro pumpto the left wheel motor. The right lever controls theflow of oil from the right hydro pump to the rightwheel motor.NOTE: To begin motion, the operator must be inthe seat and the parking brake disengaged beforethe motion control levers can be moved from theneutral slots or the engine will shut down.By moving the levers an equal amount forward orback the machine will move in a straight line inthat direction.Movement of either lever forward will cause theright or left wheel to rotate in a forward direction. To stop movement pull both levers into the neutralposition. To turn right while moving in a forward directionpull the right lever back toward the neutral position, this will slow the rotation of the right wheel andcause the machine to turn in that direction. To turn left while moving in a forward direction pullthe left lever back towards the neutral position, thiswill slow the rotation of the left wheel and causethe machine to turn in that direction. To zero turn pull one lever back beyond neutralwhile holding the other slightly ahead of neutral.NOTE: The direction of the zero turn will bedetermined by which lever is pulled back beyondneutral. Thus left lever back, left zero turn andopposite for right zero turn. Use extra care whenusing this maneuver the machine can spinvery rapidly if one lever is positioned too farahead of the other.WARNING!The machine can turn very rapidlyif one steering control is movedmuch further forward than theother.
