User Guide for the W52P IP DECT Phone48Area CodeArea codes are also known as Numbering Plan Areas (NPAs). They usually indicate geographicalareas in a country. This feature is necessary only when dialing the number outside the code area.For example, area code is configured as “Code: 011, Minimum Length: 4, Maximum Length: 11”,then when you dial out the number “56789”, which has digits between 4 and 11, the phone willadd the area code before the number and dial out (01156789).To configure area code via web user interface via the handset:1. Click on Settings->Dial Plan->Area Code.2. Enter the desired value in the Code, Minimum Length (1-15) and Maximum Length(1-15) field respectively.3. Enter the desired line ID in the Account field or leave it blank.For more information on the valid values for the Account field, refer to Replace Rule onpage 46.4. Click Confirm to accept the change.NoteBlock OutYou can block some specific numbers (up to 10) from being dialed. When you dial the block outnumber on the handset, the dialing will fail, and the LCD screen will prompt “Forbidden”.To add a block out number via web user interface via the handset:1. Click on Settings->Dial Plan->Block Out.2. Enter the desired value in the BlockOut NumberX field.3. Enter the desired line ID in the Account field or leave it blank.The default values of minimum and maximum lengths are 1 and 15.Area code is configurable via web user interface only.Area code is applicable to all the handsets registered to the base station.
