A (0602)FOR DISTRIBUTION USE ONLY - NOT TO BE USED AT POINT OF RETAIL SALEDESCRIPTIONThe 10 SEER Series condensing unit is the outdoor part of aversatile system of air conditioning. It is designed to be cus-tom-matched with one of UPGís complete line of evaporatorsections, each designed to serve a specific function. Match-ing Air Handlers are available for upflow, downflow or hori-zontal applications to provide a complete system. ElectricHeaters are available if required. Add-On coils are availablefor use with upflow, downflow or horizontal furnaces and airhandlers.WARRANTYSingle Phase Units:5-year limited parts warranty.5-year limited compressor warranty.Three Phase Units:1-year limited parts warranty.5-year limited compressor warranty.FEATURESï QUALITY CONDENSER COILS - The coil is constructedof enhanced copper tube and aluminum fins.ï COIL PROTECTION - Coils are protected from damage bya polymer mesh applied between the coil face, and a PVCcoated steel coil guard.ï PROTECTED COMPRESSOR - The compressor is inter-nally protected against high pressure and temperature. This is accomplished by the simultaneous operation ofhigh pressure relief valve and a temperature sensor whichprotects the compressor if undesirable operating condi-tions occur. A liquid line filter-drier further protects thecompressor.ï DURABLE FINISH - The cabinet is made of pre-paintedsteel. The pre-treated flat galvanized steel provides a bet-ter paint to steel bond, which resists corrosion and rustcreep. Special primer formulas and matted desert sand fin-ish insure less fading when exposed to sunlight.ï LOWER INSTALLED COST - Installation time and costsare reduced by easy power and control wiring connec-tions. Discharge line heat exchanger knockouts are pro-vided, if required. Available in sweat connect models only. The unit contains enough refrigerant for matching indoorcoils and 15 feet of interconnecting piping. The small basedimension means less space is required on the ground orroof.ï TOP DISCHARGE - The warm air from the top mountedfan is blown up away from the structure and any landscap-ing. This allows compact location on multi-unit applica-tions.ï LOW OPERATING SOUND LEVEL - The upward air flowcarries the normal operating noise up away from the livingarea. The rigid top panel effectively isolates any motorsound. Isolator mounted compressor and the rippled finsof the condenser coil muffle the normal fan motor andcompressor operating sounds.ï LOW MAINTENANCE - Long life permanently lubricatedmotor-bearings need no annual servicing.ï EASY SERVICE ACCESS - Fully exposed refrigerant con-nections, a single panel covering the electrical controlsand the molex plug in the control box connecting the con-denser fan, make for easy servicing of the unit.ï SECURED SERVICE VALVES - Secured re-usable ser-vice valves are provided on both the liquid and vaporsweat connections for ease of evacuating and charging.ï U.L. and C.U.L. listed - approved for outdoor application.Certified in accordance with the Unitary Small Equipment cer-tification program, which is based on ARI Standard 210/240.
