Observe this... Pass/Fail/NA6.1 Turn the selector switch to DEFIB (for AEDunits, turn the selector switch to ON, andselect Manual Mode.) Press and hold theENERGY DOWN button on the sternum paddle.The energy selection decreases to 1J. o o o6.2 Press and release the ENERGY UP button onthe sternum paddle for each setting.Verify the energy levels increment through the following: 1-10, 15, 20, 30, 50,75, 100, 120, 150, 200J. o o o6.3 Press and release the RECORDER button onthe sternum paddle.The recorder turns on. o o o6.4 Press and release the RECORDER buttonagain.Verify the recorder turns off. o o o6.5 Select 30J using the paddle ENERGY button.Press the CHARGE button on the Apex paddle.The unit charges to 30J, then the red LED charge indicator illuminates and thecharge tone sounds. (Note that the front panel shock button does notilluminate).o o o6.6 Press and release the APEX SHOCK button. No discharge. o o o6.7 Press and release the STERNUM SHOCKbutton.No discharge. o o o6.8 Press and hold both paddles SHOCK buttons. The unit discharges. The 30J TEST OK message displays and the red LEDturns off. The recorder runs. o o oRecord your results on the Maintenance Test Checklist.
