Using the detergentCaution! Use only detergents for dishwashers.Do not use more than the correct quantity of deter-gent. Refer to the instructions on the detergentpackaging.1 2A3Put the detergent or thetablet in compartment (AA).ABIf the programme has aprewash phase, put asmall quantity of detergentin compartment (BB).4Detergent tablets do not fully dissolve with shortprogrammes and detergent residues can stay on thedishes.We recommend that you use detergent tablets with longprogrammes.SSetting and starting a programmeSetting modeThe appliance must be in setting mode to accept someoperations.The appliance is in setting mode when, after the activa-tion:• The display shows 2 horizontal status bars.• The indicators of the programme buttons come on.If the control panel shows other conditions, press andhold function buttons (BB) and (CC) at the same time untilthe appliance is in setting mode.Starting a programme without delay start1. Open the water tap.2. Press the on/off button to activate the appliance.3. Make sure that the appliance is in setting mode.4. Set the programme. The related programme numberflashes in the display.5. Close the appliance door. The programme starts.• If you open the door, the display shows the pro-gramme duration that decreases with steps of 1minute.Starting a programme with delay start1. Set the programme.2. Press the delay button again and again until the dis-play shows the delay time you want to set (from 1 to19 hours).• The delay time flashes in the display.• The delay indicator is on.3. Close the appliance door. The countdown starts.• If you open the door, the display shows the count-down of the delay start that decreases with steps of1 hours.• When the countdown is completed, the programmestarts.Opening the door while the appliance operatesIf you open the door, the appliance stops. When you closethe door, the appliance continues from the point of inter-ruption.Cancelling the delay startPress and hold function buttons (BB) and (CC) at the sametime until:• The delay indicator goes off.22
