5Cleaning and MaintenanceDisconnect the appliance from the electricalsupply, before carrying out any cleaning ormanteinance work.General cleaningWash the enamelled components with warm soapywater. Never use abrasive cleaners.Frequently wash the "caps" and the "crowns" with hotsoapy water, carefully taking away any built-up of food.Regularly wipe over the hob top using a soft cloth weelwrung out in warm water to which a little liquid detergenthas been added. Avoid the use of the following:- household detergent and bleaches;- impregnated pads unsuitable for non-stick saucepans;- steel wool pads;- bath/sink stain removers.Should the hob top become heavily soiled, it isrecommended that a proper cleaning product is used.Pan supportsThe pan supports are dishwasher proof.If the marks are particularly difficult to remove, usecommon non-abrasive cleaners or specific products.Never use steel wool pads or acids.Ignition candleThe electric ignition is obtained through a ceramic"candle" and a metal electrode (Fig.1-2 lett. C). Keepthese components well clean, to avoid difficult lighting,and check that the burner crown holes are notobstructed.Cleaning of the hotplatesSpills on the hotplates should be removed using warmwater and a soft cloth.Alternatively, wipe the plates with a drop of olive oil on akitchen towel (while the plates are still warm).Periodic MaintenancePeriodically ask your local Service Centre to check theconditions of the gas supply pipe and the pressureadjuster, if fitted.To ensure the good operation of the hob and its safetyfeatures, it is necessary that the taps are periodicallylubricated.Fig. 3 FO 2110
