2EN - 14 - For the user2.4.2 Cleaning the valves (in your dwelling)The ventilation system may be fitted with the follow-ing valves:Exhaust valve (STB) Exhaust valve (STC)Exhaust valve (STV) Exhaust valve (STK)Supply valve (STH)You must clean the valves (at least) twice a year:1. Remove the valve from the wall or ceiling;2. Clean the valve in a solution of soap and warmwater;3. Rinse the valve thoroughly and wipe dry;4. Place the valve back WITH EXACTLY THE SAMESETTING (and IN THE SAME HOLE);5. Repeat this procedure for the other valves.About the valve settings...The installer will have set all the valves to ensurethe optimum performance of the ventilation system.Therefore, do not change the setting of the valves.After cleaning, make sure that all valves areplaced back with the same setting (and inexactly the same ventilation hole in the wallor ceiling) AT ALL TIMES. Otherwise, systemperformance will be compromised.The ventilation air is supplied and discharged bymeans of valves. Gaps under doors in the dwellingensure that the air flows in the right direction. In or-der to ensure that the correct ventilation volumes aremaintained in the rooms, the following must be ob-served:• Do not seal the gaps;• Do not change the settings of the valves;• Do not replace the valves with one another.2.5 MalfunctionsMalfunctions in the ComfoAir are reported as follows:• The malfunction alert appears on the display.• The malfunction alert appears on the CC Easepanel;• The malfunction indicator on the 3-positionswitch lights up;A concise explanation of these methods of reportingmalfunctions is given in the paragraphs below.2.5.1 Malfunction alerts on the digitaloperating deviceIn the event of a malfunction, the corresponding mal-function code will be displayed on the digital operat-ing device of the ComfoAir. The digital operating de-vice will always show an 'A' or an 'E', with a numberas a suffix. Please refer to the malfunction overview tofind out the meaning of the relevant malfunction alert.
