Preparations for use S7 / OPMI VISU 160Version 6.0Page 126 G-30-1528-enAdjusting the system - S7 floor standBalance setting of the suspension armDo not perform the balance setting until the surgical microscope and all ac-cessories have been mounted!• Move the suspension arm into its horizontal position and tightly hold itwith one hand.• Loosen knob (3) for adjusting the friction of the suspension arm's upward/downward movement.• Move the suspension arm slightly up and down. At the same time, turnadjustment screw (1) until you think that the spring force is sufficient tocompensate for the weight of the surgical microscope and accessories.Continue to perform this adjustment until the surgical microscope movesneither upward nor downward. The surgical microscope is fully balancedwhen it remains stationary in all positions within the work area.Rotating clockwise increases the spring force, turning the screw counter-clockwise reduces the spring force.Setting the limit of downward travel of the suspension arm• Loosen locking lever (2) for the upward/downward movement.CAUTION Risk of crushing - mind your fingers!Fingers may be crushed in the areas marked with the "Risk of crushing" label.• Do not touch these areas while the system is being moved or broughtinto its working / transport position.CAUTION Risk of injury caused by lowering of the surgical microscope!• Always limit the downward travel of the suspension arm to prevent anycontact with the patient in case the surgical microscope is lowered acci-dentally.
