Water and MoistureDo not use this product near water—for example, neara bathtub, wash bowl, sink, or laundry tub, in a wetbasement, or near a swimming pool.8. AccessoriesDo not place this product on an unstable cart, stand,tripod, bracket, or table. The product may fall, causingserious injury to a child or adult, and serious damageto the product. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod,bracket, or table recommended by the manufacturer, orsold with the product. Any mounting of the productshould follow the manufacturer’s instructions andshould use amounting accessory recommended by themanufacturer.9. Transporting ProductMove product and cart combinations with care. Quickstops, excessive force, anduneven surfaces may causeproduct and cart combina-tion to overturn.10. VentilationSlots and openings in the cabinet must not be blockedor covered. They are provided for ventilation, to ensurereliable operation, and to protect from overheating.Never block openings by placing the product on a bed,sofa, rug, or other similar surface. Do not place theproduct in a built-in installation such as a bookcase orrack unless proper ventilation is provided or manufac-turer’s instructions have been adhered to.11. Power SourcesOperate product only from the type of power sourceindicated on marking label. If you are not sure of thetype of power supply to your home, consult your prod-uct dealer or local power company. For productsintended to operate from battery power or othersources, refer to the operating guide.12. Power Cord PolarizationThis product is equipped with a polarized alternating-current line plug (a plug having one blade wider thanthe other). This plug will fit into the power outlet onlyone way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable toinsert the plug fully into the outlet, contact your elec-trician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeatthe safety purpose of the polarized plug.13. Power-Cord ProtectionRoute power-supply cords sothey are not likely to bewalked on or pinched by itemsplaced upon or against them,paying particular attention tocords at plugs, conveniencereceptacles, and the pointwhere they exit from theproduct.14. Outdoor Antenna GroundingIf an outside antenna or cable system is connected tothis product, be sure the antenna or cable system isgrounded so as to provide some protection againstvoltage surges and built-up static charges. Article 810of the National Electrical Code (USA), ANSI/NFPA 70,provides information on grounding of the mast andsupporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire toan antenna discharge unit connection to the ground-ing electrodes, and requirements for the groundingelectrode. (See Fig. 1 on reverse side for an example).15. LightningFor added protection for thisproduct during a lightningstorm, or when product is leftunattended and unused forlong periods of time, unplugit from the wall outlet anddisconnect antenna or cablesystem.
