Putting the device into serviceThis section will explain everything you needto know about putting the device into servicefor the first time.13. 1 Supply voltageTo connect the supply voltage, proceed asfollows:1. Connect the supply voltage to a terminalon the back of the device.2. After connecting the supply voltage, thefirst measurement value display "Over-view" will appear on the display a fewseconds later.3. If no display appears, check whether thesupply voltage is within the rated voltagerange.cWARNING!Risk of injury fromelectric voltage! If the device is exposed to voltage surgesabove the admissible overvoltage category,safety-related insulations in the device maybe damaged, whereupon the safety of theproduct can no longer be guaranteed.Only use the device in environments inwhich the admissible surge voltage is notexceeded.mCAUTION!Material damage mayresult from failure tocomply with theconnection requirements.Noncompliance with the connection re-quirements may result in your device beingdamaged or destroyed. For this reason, please note the following:• Comply with the details on voltage andfrequency on the ratings plate.• Do not use the device to measure di-rect voltage.13. 2 Measured voltageVoltage measurements in networks with ratedvoltages above the maximum stated ratedvoltage (cf. Section 6.2 Rated Voltages) are tobe connected via voltage transformers. To connect the measured voltage, proceed asfollows:1. Connect the supply voltage to a terminalon the back of the device.2. After the measured voltage has been con-nected, the measurement values displayedby the device for the voltages L-N and L-Lwill have to match those at the measure-ment input.3. Consider any utilized voltage transformerfactors.C ATTENTION!Delete any production-related energycounter contents, minimum and max-imum values, and recordings prior toputting the device into service.
