The Back buttondisplays the previous screen in some cases.• When the Shift button is displayed, pressing itwill display alternate characters on the keypadthat can be used for data entry.Other Buttons DisplayedDepending on the programming question, otherbuttons may be displayed.• The Esc (escape) button serves as an “undo”.Pressing Esc restores the value that waspreviously stored for the question or sub‐question.• The Sum (summary) button displays asummary of the values stored for theprogramming question and sub‐options.• The End button displays a summary of thevalues stored for the entire Control Panelmemory.• The Learn button is used to set the system toreceive a sensor’s serial number duringprogramming.• The Paste button repeats the last sensor serialnumber entered.• The Exit button exits programming.PROGRAMMING OUTLINEEach system installed will require programming.Most installations being performed by theprofessional alarm installer for a specificorganization will have common values set in everyControl Panel reporting to the same CentralStation. Other programming values, such as theaccount number and sensor setup, will be uniquefor each installation.Following is an outline to guide the alarm installerthrough the programming of the Control Panel.If you don’t read anything else, read this outline!Use the following outline in conjunction with thiscopy of the Installation and ProgrammingInstructions to guide you through the installation.Because of the many programming optionsavailable with this Control Panel, thoroughlyreading this manual is very important.Understanding the Control Panel’s programmingstructure will help to save time during eachinstallation.At this stage the following should be alreadycompleted:• All hardwired sensors installed• All wireless sensors installed• Control Panel mounted• Control Panel connected• Control Panel powered‐up1 Start at the Home Screen.2 Press the logo at the lower right corner of thescreen. (The Installer Toolbox can also beaccessed via the third screen of the SystemToolbox, but this takes longer.)
