Resetting the Firewall 163Resetting the Firewall To reset the Firewall:1 Disconnect the power from the Firewall.2 Using a blunt pointed object, fully press in the reset button on the backpanel.3 Whilst holding this button in, reconnect the power to the unit.4 Continue holding the reset button in until the Alert LED starts flashing.This should be approximately 20 seconds.5 When the Alert LED stops flashing, the reset is complete. You can nowrelease the reset button.When the reset is complete, the Firewall restarts. The Power LED stopsflashing and the Alert LED is illuminated continuously, indicating that theunit has been reset and the firmware erased.Reloading theFirmwareEven when the firmware has been erased, you can use a basic Webinterface to get the Firewall up and running again. The Firewall reverts toits default IP address of 192.168.1.254 after a complete reset, so youmust reconfigure your chosen management station to an IP address in thesame subnet to access the Web interface.To reload the firmware:1 Type http://192.168.1.254 into the web browser on the managementstation, and press Enter.
