In principle, an individual inside the network could capture allnetwork transmissions and then perform mathematical analyses todiscover the new Administrator Password. Though this is more anacademic than a practical issue, using the Direct Connection option to setthe password for the first time may be advisable if this is a concern.Direct ConnectionInstructionsTo connect a management station directly to the firewall follow the stepsbelow.1 Disconnect the management station from the local Ethernet network.2 Attach the Firewall directly to the management station.To do this, connect a cable from the Ethernet port on the managementstation to the LAN Port of the Firewall.3 Switch on the Firewall.To do this, connect the power adapter to the port on the back labeledPower.4 Wait for the Power LED to stop flashing.
