If the Firewall has been allocated an IP address then it will attempt toconfigure itself automatically. See “Automatic WAN Settings” below. If the Firewall has not been allocated an IP address then it will promptyou for the settings it requires. See “Manual WAN Settings” onpage 40.Automatic WANSettingsThe Installation Wizard checks for the presence of a DHCP Server or aPPPoE server on the WAN port. Depending on the server found theFirewall configures itself appropriately as described below: DHCP Server — The Firewall requests an IP address form the DHCPserver on the WAN Port and uses the IP address, subnet mask and anyDNS information supplied PPPoE Server — The Installation Wizard prompts you to enter the UserName and Password supplied by your ISP.
