The LAN Modem Main Configuration Page 53Setting Up AdditionalService Provider ProfilesNow that you have finished configuring your Dual 56K LAN Modem, you can setup a total of four additional Service Provider profiles. The LAN Modem definesany remote dial-out destination (including the ISP profile you just configured) as aService Provider. The LAN Modem recognizes two categories of ServiceProviders: Internet Service Providers (ISPs), for connection to the Internet (such as thatcreated by the ISP Wizard).If you have another Internet Service Provider account and would like toconfigure a second Internet Service Provider profile, refer to Chapter 7,“Configuring Additional Service Providers.” You will see the name of the ISPthat you just configured listed in the Service Provider profile list. Private Network Service Providers, for connection to a remote PrivateNetwork, such as a corporate office LAN (this can include indirect access to theInternet through the corporate LAN’s Internet connection).If you would like to set up a connection to a remote Private Network, refer toChapter 6, “Configuring the Dual 56K LAN Modem for Private NetworkAccess.”Configuring AdditionalLAN Modem ParametersThe configuration you just performed guided you through the basic parametersthat were needed to connect you to your ISP. There are additional parameters forthis ISP connection which were automatically set to default values during theconfiguration which you change or adjust. These parameters include DomainName, Compression, NAT, and WAN Link IP Address, as well as an alternate orMultilink ISP telephone number with which your ISP may have provided you. Forinformation on these parameters and changing their default values, refer toChapter 7, “Editing Service Provider Profiles.”The LAN Modem MainConfiguration PageNow that you have performed the initial configuration of the LAN Modem, anyfurther configuration of the unit — adding additional Service Providers,configuring advanced parameters, or changing current parameters — is handledthrough the Dual 56K LAN Modem’s Main Configuration Page, also called theWebWizard.
