B REPLACING A FAILED DISK ON AVCX SERVEROverview If a disk drive failure occurs on a VCX server, use the appropriateprocedure in this appendix to replace the failed disk and bring the VCXserver back into service.Assumption: The replacement disk arrives and contains an older versionof the software on the running server.The running server continues to deliver service to VCX system users.Telephones use this server for all calls.CAUTION: You must know which server was configured as the MasterDefinition Server (also known as the primary server) when both serverswere running. During the disk replacement procedure, some commandsmust be entered on the correct server.Terminology Throughout this appendix, the server on which the disk failure hasoccurred is referred to as the "down server" regardless of what state it isin.
