Thename can also be added or changed later.Naming a Unit Through 3DM1 Make sure the appropriate controller is selected in the drop-down list atthe right of the menu bar.2 Choose Management > Controller Settings from the menu bar in 3DM.3 In the Unit Names section of the Controller Settings Page, locate the unitfor which you want to change the name.4 In the text box, enter or type over the name shown.A name can be up to 21 characters, and can include dashes andunderscores.5 Click the Save Names button.Note: If you want to cancel your change before saving it, clickthe Reset Names button.Naming a Unit Through 3BM1 At the main 3BM screen, select the unit by highlighting it and pressingEnter.An asterisk appears in the left-most column to indicate that it is selected.2 Tab to the Maintain Unit button and press Enter.3 On the pop-up menu, select Configure and press Enter.On the Configure Disk Array screen, the Array Name field is alreadyselected.4 Press Enter to open a text box.5 Type a name for the unit and press Enter.6 Tab to the OK button and press Enter to select it.You return to the main 3BM screen.7 When you are finished making changes, press F8 to save them and exit3BM.
