134 Technical dataCE markingA CE mark is attached to the drive to verify that the unit follows the provisions of theEuropean Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS Directives. The CE marking also verifies that thedrive, in regard to its safety functions (such as Safe torque off), conforms with theMachinery Directive as a safety component. Compliance with the European Low Voltage DirectiveThe compliance with the European Low Voltage Directive has been verified according tostandards EN 60204-1 and EN 61800-5-1. Compliance with the European EMC DirectiveThe EMC Directive defines the requirements for immunity and emissions of electricalequipment used within the European Union. The EMC product standard (EN 61800-3:2004) covers requirements stated for drives. See section Compliance with EN 61800-3:2004 below. Compliance with the European RoHS DirectiveThe RoHS Directive defines the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances inelectrical and electronic equipment.Compliance with the European Machinery DirectiveThe drive is an electronic product which is covered by the European Low VoltageDirective. However, the drive includes the Safe torque off function and can be equippedwith other safety functions for machinery which, as safety components, are in the scope ofthe Machinery Directive. These functions of the drive comply with European harmonizedstandards such as EN 61800-5-2.
