If thicker fabric is sewn,the needle may bend or break.● When embroidering overlapping stitches, it is difficult for the needle to penetrate the fabric,possibly resulting in the needle bending or breaking.● Attach stabilizers to thin or stretch fabrics. (Refer to “Attaching Iron-On Stabilizer (Backing) toFabric” on page 93 for information.)● When embroidering large pieces of fabric, make sure that the fabric is not caught in the carriage.Display recommendationsBe sure to observe the following recommendations concerning the use of the operation panel display.Note● Only touch the display with your finger or included touch pen. Do not use a mechanical pencil,screwdriver or any other hard or sharp object. In addition, do not apply extreme pressure to thedisplay screen, otherwise damage to the display screen may result.Memo• If you are not directly facing the operation panel display, the colors may be distorted orthe display may be difficult to read. This is a normal characteristic of the display and is nota malfunction. Be sure to sit in front of the display while using it. (Refer to “Adjusting theoperation panel position” on page 29, if adjusting is necessary.)
