Carefully NOTE the labeled first screw. NOTE: The hook-shaft collar normally doesnot have a flat, but on the Regalia machinesit does; however it is not for timing. The hookshaft pulley first screw is fixed on anotherhook shaft flat.Important Hook-Shaft NOTEsThe hook-shaft turns two times per stitch and rotatesin the opposite direction as the main shaft. Pleasecarefully NOTE which screw is the first screw in thedirection of motion and on the flat. The hook-shaft pulley is set to a specific setting fromthe end of the shaft to allow proper needle-to-hookdistance adjustment. Adjust the collar to remove ax-ial play, not the hook-shaft pulley. The setting can bethrown off, which may make needle-to-hook distanceadjustment impossible. The Regalia utilizes long collars with two screws in lineto help prevent the collar from tipping when tight-ened, causing variation of tightness or play, as thecollar rotates 360°. To ensure that there is no tight-ness or play, the collar should be checked through afull rotation until it has minimal tightness andminimal playSection 4: Checking and Securing Flats and ScrewsFirst Screw, First Position RuleThe first screw is 120 degrees before the 2nd screwwhen the handwheel is turned in the direction ofrotation.
