This will bypass the remotepower switch and wiring. (Figure 17.20)• Turn on the machine. If the LEDs are still noton, then there may be an issue with the powersupply or the control board. If the LEDs bothbegin working again, this may indicate that oneof the peripherals or its cabling is shorting outthe control board• If a volt meter indicates that 48V is present at theControl Board power connector and the ControlBoard LEDs are off when everything is unpluggedexcept for power at J6 and the QM20204 jumperon the power supply, then the Control Boardshould be replaced• If the LEDs come back on with everythingunplugged but the above two items; beginplugging the cables back in one at a time(powering off between the connection of eachcable) until you find the cable or peripheral thatis causing the issueThe Control Board has four labelled LEDs downthe right edge of the board These can be seen byremoving the handwheel ,without removing themachine front cover• D23, KEYPRS: Toggles on and off as the take-upspring passes the thread break sensor.• D22, OVRSPD: Used by Engineering during testing/ development.• D21, NEEDLE: LED is on from when the take-uplever is at its highest position until the needle is atbottom dead center. LED is off from needle bottomdead center until the take-up lever is at its highestposition.• D20, HEARTBT: Indicates the main Control Boardprocessor has power and is functioning when it isbeating like a heartbeat.
