MODEL 300 COMBUSTION ANALYZER5-10 Instruction 24-92235.4.2 Cleaning the Analyzer’s Sampling SystemEquipment Needed• Screwdriver, 1/4" Flat-Blade • Water• Pipe Cleaners • Mild Detergent• Jumper Wire with Alligator Clips • Clean RagProcedure1. Turn off analyzer.2. From rear of control panel, remove filter/trap from its quick-connectsocket, and unplug thermocouple connector.3. Remove the sensor cover (see Section 4.1), and remove the O2, and COsensors. If the optional SO2 and NOX sensors are installed, remove thecontrol panel using Section 4.1, and remove them. Temporarily con-nect a jumper wire to the CO and optional SO2 sensors terminals Rand S.Important! In the following step, DO NOT remove the wires from theCO or the Optional SO2 sensors. If the electrical connections areremoved and then reconnected to these sensors, a restabilization timeperiod of up to several hours is required before the sensors stabilize (seeSection 5.7). The longer the sensors are disconnected from the analyzer, the longer the restabilization period becomes.NOTE: Since the analyzer has all sensors mounted in an uprightposition, the sensor-mounting bracket that is located directly below theO 2 and CO sensors must be removed from the front-panel assemblybefore SO2 and/or NO X sensor(s) can be removed.4. Remove the control panel, if not already removed, (refer to Section 4.1)and place it on a clean work surface.5. Clean surfaces of oxygen sensor base and carbon monoxide expansionchamber with a clean rag.CAUTION:DO NOT clean or disassemble the pump. The pump’s checkvalves are delicate and may be damaged if cleaned.
