13General operationAnti-theft deviceYour Cascade features two anti-theftdevices:• Protection by means of a five-digitunit code number• Protection by means of a removablecontrol panelEntering unit code numbersIf the Cascade is disconnected from theelectrical supply source, the anti-theftdevice prevents it against unauthoriseduse once it has been reconnected.You need the five-digit code numberprinted on the CODE CARD to start upthe Cascade.Shortly after the unit has been switchedon by pressing , the data entrymenu for the code number will appear.! Turn the rotary control/push buttonto select the first digit of the codenumber.! Press the rotary control/push button.! Enter the remaining digits of the codenumber in the same way.Once you have entered all 5 digits of thecode number correctly, the Cascade willcome on automatically and you can useall functions.What to do if an incorrect code numberhas been enteredThe following message appears if anincorrect code number is entered.! Press the rotary control/push button.The data entry menu for the code numberappears again.! Enter the correct code number asdescribed above.Note:It is important to store the CODECARD in a safe place outside of thevehicle. This will prevent unauthoriseduse. The window stickers provided canbe attached to the windscreen/windowsinside your vehicle.Note:If you enter an incorrect number:! Press the back button to deletethe last number entered.or!
