Configuration Commands80-10100000-09 4–21In MANUAL, the factory default mode, you will be notified of a failure onthe link together with it’s cause. You must then initiate Backup manuallyfrom the command line prompt (see section 6).In AUTO, your KBU 64 will automatically backup a failed Kilostream linkon detection of a failure of that link. You will see the cause (e.g. loss ofclocks, data loss or NTU) indicated at the terminal.Refer to section 4.15 for details of how to configure the timers whichtrigger a backup call.If set to WIN, backup will be enabled and disabled according to the timeof day constraints. You can set this mode by entering the WINDOWparameter ‘win’. This setting only causes restriction of the availablebackup origination times, it does not restrict the KBU 64 answering anincoming call.4.13.3 Setting the Backup Time WindowsPlease note that the ‘time windows’ operation has changed considerablyfrom software versions V4.24 or earlier. The WINDOW facility is only used when the BACKUP parameter is setto WIN. This enables you to restrict the days, or time period within a daywhen your KBU 64 can initiate a backup to the ISDN line. Up to 4backup times (or slots) can be set for each day as required. The factory settings have the first slot on all days set to 00:00 24:00 andthe remaining slots set to 00:00 00:00. This enables BACKUP on alldays without any restriction.
