(The default is 0.) (LP numbers are described in Chapter 4.)l Port number (see port locations in Chapter 5): 0–7. (The default is 0.)The display for an existing port will show the configured parameter values, while thedisplay for a new port will show default database values. (See Table 8-1 and Table 8-2.) The following figure is an example of an existing port.Figure 8-1 SNA Port Screen 1[A],[C],[A] from Main MenuAfter configuring the above screen, press [O] to display a second screen. (The param-eters for both screens are listed in Table 8-1 on page 8-4.)You must also define the PUs (physical units) that will communicate via the SNA port.Once the Additional SNA Port Parameters are configured, press [F3] to return to Figure8-1, then press [P], [A] to display a list of configured PUs, or [P], [B] to configure a PU.If configurng a PU, enter (when prompted) a Station Address: 0–ff (hex). This addressidentifies the PU you are configuring, and must match the ADDR parameter set in themacro PU in the VTAM configuration. (The station address is usually set to C1 forpoint-to-point SDLC lines, and in series C1, C2, C3, etc. for multidrop lines.)After entering a station address, a screen similar to the following will be displayed.Node Name=nod exyzSN A Port Parameters* R LP 0 Port 5 Lin k State Lin kup* I /O: V .35 Databas e System MemoryA Port Type SNA SNAB N ame sna1 sna1C Phys ical Port In terface V.35 V.35D Blocked Port Flag N NE Line S peed 64k bps 64k b psF N o Data Poll Period (ms) 40 40G N o Resp Poll Period (ms ) 2000 2000H Maximum R etrans mis sions 5 5I Outs tanding Frames 7 7J Generate C lock Y YK R cv Clock (TT) from DTE N NL S NA Type 2 h pad 2 hp adM N RZ Y YN Packet Size 1024 1024O A dditional SN A Port ParametersP S DLC PU Operation sQ On-Line S ystem Memory Chan ges YOption:
