When highhumidity is detected, the climatecontrol system may adjust tooutside air supply and turn on theair conditioner. If the climate controlsystem does not detect possiblewindow fogging, it returns to normaloperation. To turn Auto Defog off oron, see “Climate and Air Quality”under Vehicle Personalization onpage 5-47.Rear Window Defogger= (Rear Window Defogger):Press to turn the rear windowdefogger on or off.The rear window defogger can beset to automatic operation. See“Climate and Air Quality” underVehicle Personalization onpage 5-47. When Auto Rear Defogis selected, the rear windowdefogger turns on automaticallywhen the interior temperature is coldand the outside temperature isabout 4°C (40°F) and below.The upper region of gridlines on therear window are antenna lines andare not intended to heat when thedefogger is activated.The heated outside rearview mirrorsturn on when the rear windowdefogger button is on and help toclear fog or frost from the surface ofthe mirrors.{ CautionDo not try to clear frost or othermaterial from the inside of thefront windshield and rear windowwith a razor blade or anythingelse that is sharp. This maydamage the rear windowdefogger grid and affect theradio's ability to pick up stationsclearly. The repairs would not becovered by the vehicle warranty.Driver and Passenger Heated andVentilated Seats (If Equipped):Press J or z to heat the driver orpassenger seat cushion andseatback.Press C or { to ventilate the driveror passenger seat. See Heated andVentilated Front Seats onpage 3-11.Remote Start Climate ControlOperation: If equipped with theremote start feature, the climatecontrol system may run when thevehicle is started remotely. Thesystem uses the driver’s previoussettings to heat or cool the inside ofthe vehicle. The rear defog maycome on during remote start basedon cold ambient conditions. Therear defog indicator light does notcome on during a remote start.If equipped with heated or ventilatedseats, they may come on during aremote start.
