Lens motionfrom zooming may also move the cameraout of position. Keep the camera still bymounting it on a tripod or taking othermeasures.2 Connect the camera andsmartphone (= 91).● In the privacy settings, choose [Yes].3 Choose remote shooting.● In Camera Connect on the smartphone,choose remote shooting.● The camera lens will come out. Keepyour fingers away from the lens, andmake sure no objects will obstruct it.● Once the camera is ready for remoteshooting, a live image from the camerawill be displayed on the smartphone.● At this time, a message is displayed onthe camera, and all operations exceptpressing the power button are disabled.4 Shoot.● Use the smartphone to shoot.Using a Smartphone to View CameraImages and Control the CameraYou can do the following with the dedicated smartphone app CameraConnect.● Browse images on the camera and save them to the smartphone● Geotag images on the camera (= 110)● Shoot remotely (= 110)● In camera settings, the smartphone must be allowed to viewcamera images (= 91, = 111).Geotagging Images on the CameraGPS data recorded on a smartphone using the dedicated CameraConnect application can be added to images on the camera. Images aretagged with information including the latitude, longitude, and elevation.● Before shooting, make sure the date and time and your hometime zone are set correctly, as described in “Setting the Date andTime” (= 17). Also follow the steps in “World Clock” (= 115)to specify any shooting destinations in other time zones.● Others may be able to locate or identify you by using location datain your geotagged still images or movies. Be careful when sharingthese images with others, as when posting images online wheremany others can view them.
