6-7Chapter 6 Special FeaturesSpecial DiallingIn this section, we’ll explain some special dialling features like dialling through aswitchboard, and dialling international numbers.Dialling Through a SwitchboardA PBX (private branch exchange) is an on-site telephone switchboard.J If your MultiPASS L90 is connected through a switchboard, dial the outsideline number first. Then dial the rest of the number.J If you want to dial with automatic dialling, you may have to insert a pausebetween the outside line number and the telephone number when you registerthe number for one-touch (Qp. 3-13) or coded speed dialling (Qp. 3-19).J When you have to make calls to an extension, you may have to press the Rbutton before you dial the extension number. Before you can use the Rbutton, you have to register it as explained below.Registering the Access Type and the Outside LineNumberWhen the MultiPASS L90 is connected to a PBX or other telephone switchingsystem, you can register the type of access and outside line number in the R-KEYSETTING.
