37Shooting – The BasicsThe Basics- If the AF-assist beam is turned off, itmay become more difficult for thecamera to focus in dark conditions.- The red-eye reduction lamp may emitwhen you press the shutter buttonhalfway even if the AF-assist beam isturned off.In order to prevent any lamp fromemitting before the flash fires, set boththe red-eye reduction function and theAF-assist beam to [Off] in the Shootingmenu.Reviewing an Image Right afterShootingAfter a photo is taken, the image displays onthe LCD monitor for two seconds. In addition,the image will keep on displaying regardlessof the review duration setting if one of thefollowing operations is performed.z Keeping the shutter button fully pressedz Pressing the SET button while the image isdisplayed*Press the shutter button halfway again to stopdisplaying it so that you can shoot the next image.* Not available in (Stitch Assist) mode.Mode DialYou can perform the following whileimages are displayed.*• Erase Images Individually (p. 64)• Display the setting details of the image(p. 28).• Magnify Images (p. 58) (When pressingthe SET button while the image isdisplayed.)
