The clip, which ends withthe still image and a shutter sound, formsa single chapter in the digest movie.● Battery life is shorter in this mode than in [ ] mode, becausedigest movies are recorded for each shot.● A digest movie may not be recorded if you shoot a still imageimmediately after turning the camera on, choosing [ ] mode, oroperating the camera in other ways.● Sounds and vibrations from operating the camera will be recordedin digest movies.● Digest movie image quality is automatically set to [ ] forNTSC or [ ] for PAL and cannot be changed (= 160).● Sounds are not played when you press the shutter button halfwayor trigger the self-timer (= 164).● Digest movies are saved as separate movie files in the followingcases even if they were recorded on the same day in [ ] mode.- The digest movie file size reaches approximately 4 GB, or thetotal recording time reaches approximately 16 minutes and 40seconds.- The digest movie is protected (= 116).- Daylight saving time (= 21) or time zone (= 162) settingsare changed.- A new folder is created (= 159).● Recorded shutter sounds cannot be modified or erased.● If you prefer to record digest movies without still images, adjustthe setting in advance.
