2-4Use the VB Initial Setting Tool to configure the cameranetwork.To launch the VB Initial Setting Tool, double-click the[VB Initial Setting Tool v5.0.1] icon on the desktop orselect [Start] menu > [All Programs] > [WebViewLivescope] > [VB Initial Setting Tool v5.0.1].The Tool will automatically detect the cameraconnected to the network and display the camera'sMAC address, IP address and model name.The factory setting IP address is set to192.168.100.1.The MAC address can be found on the label on thebottom of the camera (Installation Guide, “PartNames”).The VB Initial Setting Tool cannot be used withcameras that are behind a router.To use a setting other than the default gatewaysetting, clear the [Enter a default gateway address]checkbox.After settings are complete, click [OK].Setup progress is shown in the window.Note• To ensure security, be sure to change the administratorpassword (P. 3-3).• Contact your System Administrator for the appropriate IPaddress, subnet mask and gateway address.Performing Initial Settings for the Camera1 Connect the camera and PC to the network and turnon the camera (“Connecting the Camera” in“Installation Guide”).2 Launch the VB Initial Setting Tool.Important• The camera will stop issuing IP address assignment requests20 minutes after it is turned on, and the VB Initial Setting Tooldetection will be disabled. In such cases, turn the camera offand on again.• There may be cautionary information, depending on youroperating environment. Read “Notes on OperatingEnvironment” (P. 1-8) before performing initial settings.3 Select a MAC address, and then click [Initial setting].4 Enter the user name “root” and factory default settingpassword “camera”, and then the appropriate IPaddress and subnet mask.5 Click [OK].ImportantTo obtain an IP address from a DHCP server, first use the VBInitial Setting Tool to temporarily configure a static address thatcan communicate with the PC.
