9Connecting to a Wi-Fi NetworkAP ModeWhen shooting in a location where there are no access points available, the camcorder canserve as a wireless access point*. Wi-Fi enabled devices will be able to connect to thecamcorder directly and operate it through the Wi-Fi Remote application. This mode can only beused with compatible camcorders.* Limited only to the connection between the camcorder and supported Wi-Fi enabled devices. Thefunctionality is not the same as that of commercially available access points.Ad Hoc ConnectionWhen shooting in a location where there are no access points available, you can connect thecamcorder directly to a single Wi-Fi enabled device. This connection can only be used withcamcorders that are not compatible with AP mode.Depending on the country/region of use, some restrictions on outdoor use or AP mode/Ad Hoc modeuse may apply when operating the IEEE802.11a/n wireless standard in the 5 GHz band.
