2-3In the United States, FCC rules governing the use of facsimile equipment state that the following senderinformation must be printed on every facsimile transmission:• Your fax/telephone number• Your personal name or company name• The date and time of transmissionYour machine has been designed to print this information at the top of every fax you send. You must thereforeregister your machine’s fax/telephone number, your personal name or company name, and the current date andtime before using your machine.This section gives details on registering the sender information.What is Sender Information?When you receive a fax, the name of the person or company who sent you the fax, their fax/telephone numberand the date and time of transmission will be printed in small type at the top of each page. This information iscalled the Sender information or the Transmit Terminal Identification (TTI). Similarly, you must register yourdetails in your machine so that whenever you send a fax, the other party knows who sent it and when it was sent.Below is an example of how your sender information would be printed on a fax sent from your machine:• You can set the sender information to print inside or outside the image area.
