Document Feed and Eject TraysBefore scanning, prepare the Document Feed and Eject Trays for the desired paper size.Preparing the Document Feed Tray■ Opening the Document Feed TrayWhen the scanner is turned ON, the Document Feed Trayopens automatically and moves to the specified homeposition height.HintWhen opening the Document Feed Tray by hand, place yourfingers in the indents at both sides of the tray, and open it gently.Home Position SettingThe height of the home position (the position to which thedocument Feed Tray moves after it opens) can be adjustedin three steps according to the number of document pagesto be loaded (the default setting is the lowest position,which accepts up to 500 sheets).The height of the home position is set by the Tray PositionUser Mode setting, which minimizes the time required tostart feeding by specifying in advance the proper positionfor the documents to be loaded.1.
